The almost fire...

I just about had an electrical fire.
When I returned home from work, my house was filled with smoke and there was a metallic burning smell coming from somewhere though I had no clue as to where. I called the fire department and ended up sitting outside in the cold for an hour and half while they figured it out.
Thankfully it was just the heating system burning up and I arrived in time to stop it from actually catching fire. However now I am stuck til hopefully Monday in 20F / -6.667C weather until an electrician can show up to see what is wrong with the heating system and repair it.
